If you get rid of your old front end, I'd love to buy your 49mm tubes and legs in favor of my own softail wide front end for my Low-Fat Dyna custom. By the way, I believe that wide glide trees sit at just less than 10" from center to center. You might want to sell that front end so you can finance the trees. I went to the 3/4" axle so that parts are more plentiful. I'm built an FXSTC front end for my 2004 Dyna. I'm certain you can find them with more rake. Of course you can add a brace and there are solutions for your legs and springs to shore them up and help with performance but I urge you to find a different set of Triple trees that do what you want them to. When you go to smaller tubes you have to go with narrower trees or you lose some control. I believe that everything after '06 in the Dyna family uses the 49mm tubes. Were I you, I'd keep the bigger tubes and find the trees you want to make it a wide glide. At least you'll know what your situation is. You really might find that you don't have the right front end. When I can't find anybody that's done it, I find I have to bet the pioneer. Get it on a stand or jack and get it apart
